Summer is here! School is out, the sun is shining (some days!) and the Son is as present as ever in our hearts and minds.
"I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18
In the summer, our 2's class meets as usual, every Sunday during the 9:00 service. Of course, most of our "2's class" are 3 now! It is amazing to see the change and growth that even one year can bring to the youngest members of our church.
Our summer curriculum is:
July - Jesus Heals
- We will read stories of Jesus healing people who are sick, blind, or paralyzed
- Our crafts will illustrate healing, with band-aids, bandages and more
- We will read the story of how Jesus called his disciples to throw down their nets and become fishers of men
- Our crafts will include lots of fish, nets, and boats
- The goal for this lesson is to give our students their first lesson in becoming disciples of Christ, that they too can be "fishers of men"
I hope you all are having a wonderful summer!
“Finally, brothers [and sisters], whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8
